Wilma Jean Colonius, 91, of Nokomis, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, at 6:15 P.M. at Nokomis Rehab and Healthcare Center. Wilma Jean, the daughter of George and Irene (Graf) Henschen, was born September 12, 1927, in Alhambra, Illinois. She married Cecil C. Colonius on November 10, 1946, at Ohlman United Church of Christ.
Wilma Jean was a Highland High School graduate, farmwife, member of Preceptor Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Pi, member of the United Church of Christ, and member of the Women's Guild. She also taught Sunday School for many years and was active in the Bible Study Group. She enjoyed spending her free time volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels, playing cards with friends, and attending her grandchildren/greatgrandchildren's various activities.
She is survived by three children, a son, Cyril (Joseph Rogers) Colonius of Ukiah, CA, daughters, Carolyn (Matt) Tallman, and Barbara (Kent) Klinefelter, both of Nokomis. Grandchildren are Jeremy (Lacey) Yeske, Bart (Kristi) Yeske, Dustin (Colleen) Yeske, Sean (Taya) Tallman, Aaron (Holly) Tallman, Kyra (Michael) Havera, Kristopher "K.J." (Jamie) Klinefelter, Jared (Emily) Klinefelter; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cort, and Laney Yeske, Haley and Lexi Shull, and Khloe Yeske, Ciara Stalets, Dylan and Christina Yeske, Elliotte Tallman and Sarah Tallman, Kallie, Livia, and Maddex Havera, Sydni and Amelia Klinefelter, and Ella and Lola Klinefelter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sharon Jean Colonius, granddaughter Kristen Klinefelter, brothers Norman Henschen and Olin Henschen.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 9-11 A.M., at Ohlman United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Steve Vance officiating. Interment will follow at Kettelkamp Cemetery, rural Nokomis, IL.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Assn., Montgomery County Cancer Assn., or United Church of Christ of Ohlman.
