William H. (Sam) Tucker, 73 of Nokomis, Illinois passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL. The son of Jessie and Alice “Robinson Tucker was born May 5, 1947 in Georgia.
Sam married JoAnn Allen, they divorced. He married Marilyn Kay Rhodes she survives as do sons Jesse Eugene Tucker and Todd Emery Durbin, grandchildren Nicole (Michael) Beaty and Mitchell Durbin, great grandchildren Riley Beaty, Cerenity Durbin and Nolan Beaty all of Nokomis and a sister Mary Jane Casey of Harvel.
Sam was a coal miner, worked at GSI and was a fireman in California. He had a high school education and proudly served with the Air Force during Viet Nam.
Services will be Monday, March 1, 2021 in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with burial in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am till service time. Current CDC protocols shall be followed with 50 people maximum in the building, social distancing and face masks required.
Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals.
