Wendy A. Kuperman, 52, of St.Louis, MO passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at her residence. Wendy was born on September 8th, 1969 in Hillsboro, IL. She is the daughter of Carole (Willman) Barricklow and Micheal E. Lutz. She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1987. Wendy went on to follow her dream of becoming a nurse after graduating from the Lincoln Land Registered Nursing Program. Wendy continued her education through Chamberlain University, earning her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in nursing. Wendy was a registered nurse at Barnes Jewish Children’s Hospital, St. John’s Hospital, and Life Path Hospice as well as the Director of Hospice at Fayette County Health Department in Vandalia, IL.

Wendy touched the lives of countless patients and families with her gentle care, abundant empathy, and boundless love. Her ever-present, radical positivity healed and comforted everyone she met. Wendy married Joel Kuperman on Valentine’s Day, 2017. Wendy’s daughters, Hannah Stewart-El Hendy and Allie Dawson are proud of their mom for all she accomplished in her professional career and personal relationships. In Wendy’s own words, “Life is full of ups and downs, what matters most is not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up, smile, and try again, hopefully inspiring others along the way.” Wendy’s life is an inspiration to many, especially her daughters.
