Summer Rae Eller, 22, of Nokomis, formerly of Ramsey, passed away on March 15, 2024, in Nokomis.
Ms. Eller was born November 20, 2001, in Taylorville to Melvin and Valerie (Smith) Eller, Jr. She was a graduate of Nokomis Hight School with the Class of 2020 and was proud to be an assistant manager at the Dollar General Store in Nokomis where she was always dependable and very helpful.
Summer was a cheerleader at Caitlin Junior High School in South Fork. She loved going camping with her family was a ray of sunshine and full of life. Her family and friends say she was kind, graceful, generous, and full of life. Also, she had a heart of gold and was considerate of others. Summer was a snappy dresser, loved shopping for shoes and getting her nails done. She loved to go out to eat Mexican and Chinese food with her friends and was always the life of the party. Summer shared her apartment with her cat, Milo.
Summer is survived by her mother, Valerie Smith of Ramsey; father, Melvin “Jay” Eller, Jr of Brownstown; brothers, JJ Eller of Brownstown and Dayton Crow of Ramsey; sister Rylee Crow of Ramsey; grandmother, Nancy Virden; grandfather, Rex Campbell; Grandmother, Shannia Eller; grandfather, Melvin Eller, Sr and great grandmother, Flonnie Beatty.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather; Gary Virden, uncles: Michael Campbell, Kenneth Smith and Uncle "D" and cousin, Kaleb Rhodes.
Visitation for Summer Rae Eller will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home, 200 East State Street, Nokomis with funeral services to follow at 7 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family in the care of Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home.
