Stanley Franklin Walker

Stanley Franklin Walker, aged 65, of Fillmore, Illinois passed away at his residence on June 30, 2024 with his longtime companion, Joan Oller by his side.  

Stanley was born to Donald E. Walker and Julia M. Myers in Springfield, Illinois; both preceded him in death.  Mr. Walker was employed as a union painter.  Surviving are his children: Steven F. Walker of Coffeen, Zach (Misty) Gibbs of Taylorville, Derek Gibbs of Nokomis, Shannon Schroyer of Schram City; grandchildren: Odessa Gibbs, Harley Schroyer and Kaisyn Walker; siblings: James Walker of Florida, Carol Lewis of Virden and Annie Walker of Virden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Walker, sons Richard Walker and Joshua Walker, and grandson, Xavier Gibbs.

Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stiehl Dawson.
