Ruby Eileen (Schneider) Miller

Ruby E. Miller, 98 of Witt, IL. passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 in Hillsboro Area Hospital.

Ruby, the daughter of Alva John and Emma Carrie (Felker) Schneider was born July 23, 1922 in Franklin Twp., Harrison County, Indiana. She married Harold W. Miller on April 25, 1946 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Witt. He preceded her in death January 17, 1993. She is survived  by children Larry (Connie) Miller and Roger Miller of Witt, Patsy (Randy) Dwyer of Lutz, FL. and Jim (Diane) Miller of Nokomis, grandchildren Brian (Pam) Cuffle, of Riverton, IL., Kurt (Jennie) Cuffle of Sherman, IL., Clint (Aimee) Cuffle of Lutz, FL., Jayne (Carl) Fesser of Fillmore, IL., Jacob Miller,  Joe Eddington both of Witt, IL., Lora (Cecil) Polley of Owaneco, IL., Cory (Carolyn) Slightom of Fillmore, Shane (Lucy) Slightom, of Ramsey, Jennifer (David) Boyd of Yorkville, IL., Shannon (Nate) Gehrt of Aurora, IL., Joe (Mandy) Dwyer of Plainfield, Il., 25 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Evelyn Stauder,  great grandson Daniel Miller and daughter-in-law Rita Miller.

Ruby graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1939. Attended Browns Business School and worked at Babiak Electric in Springfield. She was a member Witt Lioness Club, Irving American Legion Axillary, St. Louis Catholic Church CCW. During her life she enjoyed sewing, painting, and attending her grandchildren’s athletic activities, NHS basket ball.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis with burial in St. Barbara's Catholic Cemetery, Witt, IL.

Memorials are suggested to St. Barbara's Cemetery or Witt Museum.
