Rosalyn Pellegrini, 90, of Nokomis, passed away August 28, 2020 at Life’s Journey Senior Living Facility in Pana.
She was born to the late Leroy and Nita (Hartman) Perry, January 27, 1930, in Pana, Illinois. She has one sister, Luella Eckert living in St Louis. Rosalyn graduated from Nokomis High School in 1948.
After high school, Rosalyn worked as a telephone operator in St. Louis and Nokomis, a seamstress at the Sheepskin Factory in Nokomis, and a Sunday school teacher for many years at the Baptist church in Nokomis.
She married the late Julio Pellegrini in 1949, and they made their home in Nokomis.
Rosalyn was the proud mother of 4 sons: John, Perry, Rick, and Jeff. Her legacy lives on through her two sons: Perry Pellegrini of Nokomis; Jeff Pellegrini of Big Bear Lake, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Rosalyn was predeceased by her loving husband in 2014.
Rosalyn’s family was everything to her. Heaven has truly been blessed with a loving angel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Nokomis, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis.
