Ronald Rosko age 86 of Witt passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Il. He was born December 18, 1933 to Tom & Gilda (Scopel) Rosko in Witt.
He married Dee Ann (Porter) Rosko April 30, 1960. He was a graduate of Witt High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1951 to 1954.
He was an employee of Anaconda Brass & Copper in Kenosha, WI., Caterpillar Co. of Decatur, IL., Eagle Pitcher, Hillsboro, IL., Chicago Bridge and Iron in Coffeen, Freeman Coal Mine Coal I in Farmersville, Consolidated Coal Co. Coffeen, Manager of Crown III, Farmersville, State Mine Inspector Springfield, and worked at Turris Coal Co. in Elkart, IL.
He and his wife owned and operated R & D Tavern in Witt from May 1969 to May of 1979.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Russian Church, Benld, Witt Lions Club, Irving Masonic Lodge # 455, and Veterans of Foreign Wars #1306, Taylor Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Arthur Rosko of California, 2 grandchildren Lindsay Dee Anderson and Nickolas Porter Rapp of Florida.
He is survived by his wife Dee Ann of Witt, daughter Jean Ann and grandchildren Kelsey and Matt Rapp of Florida and a brother George Rosko of Ohio.
Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned as requested by Ron.
