Ronald Harston Obituary

 

Ronald E. Harston, 67, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday. January 10, 2017 a Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO.

Ronald was born on May 27, 1950 in Witt, IL, a son of Emory and Rosella (Maroney) Harston.

He graduated high school and worked at a factory assembling fire suppression equipment. He was a member of the Local #1 IBEW.

He married Mary Jo Vandever Hand and they later divorced. He then married Nancy Cox on June 11, 2004 in Marietta, GA, and she survives.

Along with his wife Nancy, Ronald is survived by his children Julie Harston of Woodstock, GA, Blake (Denise) Harston of Woodstock, GA, Joshua Harston of Woodstock, GA, Suzanne (Tim) Cotton of Temple, GA, & Katlin Miller of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Zoe, Zane, Olivia, Nathan, Kaitlin, Payton, Natalie, Kane Harston & Katalaya Marie Logan, great grandchild Colton Bullock, brothers, Herbert (LeAnne) Harston of Nokomis, Charles (Andrea) Harston of Witt, Gary (Joann) Harston of Moweaqua , Kelly (Diantha Harston of Witt; sisters, Linda (Larry) Seifert of Nokomis, Elaine Branham of Witt, Connie (Robert) Carroll of Litchfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Brittne Cochron.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Members of Ronald’s family will share life stories. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Witt City Cemetery in Witt, IL.
