Rodell J. Carroll

Rodell J. Carroll, 76, of Nokomis, IL, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 7:15 P.M. in his home.

He was born on May 13, 1942 in Pana, IL, a son of Floyd M. & Marie (Hicks) Carroll.

Rodell retried from Illinois Corrections, working as courthouse security and was also the administrator of the Montgomery County Jail.

Mr. Carroll married the former Donna F. Foster on February 27, 1960 in Gendale, MO, and she survives.

He was a member of the Frist Baptist Church in Nokomis and the NRA.

Along with his wife, Donna of Nokomis, he is survived by his daughter Terri Hoertz of Savanna, IL and grandchildren; Sara (Tony) Reuther of Auburn, IL, Matt (Erin) Herpstreigh of Savanna, IL and great grandchildren;  Lauren Reuther, Austin and Caleb Herpstreith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Carroll.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Nokomis, IL. Pastor, Dr. Ryan Follis will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Nokomis City Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.
