Robert Scobell Obituary

Robert William Scobell, 68, of Nokomis, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at his home.

Robert was born on March 13, 1958, in Hillsboro, IL, the son of Edward Sr. and Elaine (Schmit) Scobell. He was a graduate of Witt High School. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching television.

He is survived by his significant other of over 45 years, Carol Madge of Nokomis; a daughter, Sheri Scobell of Taylorville; two grandchildren, Destiny Presnell and Anthony Presnell, both of Nokomis; two sisters, Ruth Ann Scobell of Witt, Jane Page of Hillsboro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cynthia Hawn; and two brothers, Donald Frank and Edward Scobell Jr.

Cremation care will be accorded prior to a graveside ceremony with military honors at Witt Cemetery which will be announced at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
