Robert G. Batty

Robert G. Batty, 65, of Nokomis passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at 8:33 PM at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Bob was born June 26, 1955 in Decatur, Illinois to JoAnn (Bode) & Robert Batty, Sr.  Bob married Pam Pavolka on April 9, 1983 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis.  He was a plumber by trade but his passion was being a volunteer fireman for Nokomis Fire Department and an EMT for Nokomis-Witt Area Ambulance. Bob served several terms on the Nokomis Park Board. He was instrumental in the present Pool Fund effort by researching and applying for many of the grants and funding.

Bob is survived by his wife, Pam; daughter Jessica (Ed) Hassebock of Nokomis, son Tyler (Brittney) Batty  of Nokomis; grandchildren Alyson, Ella, Hayden, Jaxson, Kota, Justin and Jade all of Nokomis; brother Stuart (Melissa) Batty of Nokomis; sisters  Darah Cochran of Tell City, Indiana and Leslie Batty of Georgia. 

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held Sunday November 22 from 10 to 2 PM at the Nokomis Memorial Park House.

Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.
