Ray Frederick Oltmann, 84 of Nokomis, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his home.
Ray was born August 21, 1935 to Elinor (Miller) and Lester Oltmann in Hillsboro, Illinois. Ray was a high school graduate of Nokomis High School with the Class of 1953. He and Barbara J. Lowe were married November 25, 1956 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis and she survives. Ray was a grain and swine farmer and enjoyed square dancing, travel and was an IH collector.
In addition to his wife Ray is survived by his sons Larry (Ramona) Oltmann of Clarksville, TN, Michael (Gabrielle) Oltmann of Nokomis and daughter, Debra (Mitchell) Lefler of Stronghurst, IL, grandchildren Marci Oltmann of Clarksville, TN, Erika (Kyle) Fortner of Nokomis, Heather (Kyle) Brozka of Spanaway, WA, Brad (Kathleen) Oltmann of Nokomis, Garret Lefler of Davenport, IA and Rachel Lefler of Ames, IA., great grandchildren Hunter and Brooklyn Fortner, Teagan Oltmann all of Nokomis and Aria Brozka of Spanaway, WA.
Ray was preceded in death by his grandchildren Kurt Oltmann and Heidi Oltmann.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Nokomis. Family suggests memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
