Paul D. Johnson

Paul D. Johnson, 93 of Taylorville, formerly of Nokomis, Illinois passed Sunday April 14, 2018 at 7:43 am in Memorial Hospital, Springfield.

Paul the son of Frank A. Johnson and Anna Wolters Johnson was born October 5, 1924 in Nokomis, Illinois.  He married Dorthea J. Luce April 20, 1947 she passed March 14, 2015.

He is survived by children James (Pam) Johnson of Bingham, Kent (Sally) Johnson of Raymond, Marcia (Dale) Osterholt of Morrisonville, Kevin  (Susan) Johnson of Taylorville. Grandchildren Jennifer Ippolito, Jessica Johnson, Jamie Cearlock, Jackelyn Slaymaker, Jordan Johnson, Nick Johnson, Mandy Meyers, Kedra Schmedeke, Brian Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Heather Melvin, Josh Johnson and 31 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, parents and siblings Velma Schneider, Harvey, Harold and Orville Johnson.

Paul was Nokomis High School graduate, farmer , member of Taylorville American Legion and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 11:00 am. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church rural Nokomis with visitation from 9:30 to service time. Burial In St. Paul’s Luther Cemetery.
