Patricia "Pat" June (Graden) Johnson

Patricia June Johnson 94 of Raymond passed away Wednesday October7, 2020  at  St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Mrs. Johnson was born June 22, 1926 in Irving, Illinois, the daughter of  Emet E. and Nellie Marine "Johnson” Graden.  She married Harold  H. Johnson on  November 23, 1944 in Raymond, Illinois and he preceded her in death May 11, 2011. 

Pat grew up in the Irving area then lived in Raymond most of her adult life.  She was a 1944 graduate of Raymond High School graduating as salutatorian. She raised her family on the farm and was a devoted farm wife and mother.  She attended First United Presbyterian Church in Raymond which was recently combined and called  Community of Faith.  She enjoyed serving in the church, sewing, quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children Paula Johnson(Rick) Purdue of Chicago, Gerald (Susan) Johnson of Springfield Beverly (Leonard) Massa of Litchfield and Floyd (Donna Pease) Johnson of Raymond,  grandchildren Jenni Purdue of Chicago, Patricia Purdue of Colorado Springs, Co,  Todd (Trista) Johnson of Springfield, Marcy (Josh) Welsh of Carlinville, Kelly (Jared) Nuckolls of Middleton, Wisconsin, Dakota (John) Kirby of Charlotte, N.C., Gabby Johnson ( fiance' Darrin Wax) of Sidney, IL., Christina (Steven) Sweeney of Chatham, IL., Michael (Heidi) Compton of South Mills, North Carolina, Laura (Chris) White of Wentzville, MO.,  great grandchildren;  Delanie and Vivian Johnson, Blaize and Pierce Rovey, Shawna, Josh and Elizabeth Welsh, Evelyn and Rosalee Kirby, Connor and Christian Gasparich, Alana Compton, Kayla (Scott) James, Michael (Jessica) Compton II, Ethan Emily and Kaitlyn White,  Kaleb (Caty) White,  great great grandchildren Landon and Parker James and Mila White. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Roberta Johnson, Mary Frances Benning, brother Richard Graden and nephew James Graden.

Because of Covid-19 the family will be having a family only graveside service Monday October 12, in Asbury Cemetery, Raymond, IL. The family will be having a memorial service at a future date.
