Patricia Curry

Patricia L. Curry, 74, of Nokomis, Illinois, passed away at 7:11 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, Illinois.

Patricia was born on September 23, 1951, in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred Pearse and Loretta Pearse. She married David Wayne Brown on January 21, 1973, and they later divorced. She then married James Curry and they also later divorced.

Patricia was employed as a bank receptionist and later worked in the laundry department at Mallory’s Pana Community Hospital. She also spent time working for Casey’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nokomis and attended North Woods Community Church in Peoria.

She is survived by her daughter, Trisha (Josh) Sturgeon of Galesburg, Illinois; grandsons, Kolton Sturgeon of Pekin, Illinois, and Logan Sturgeon of Galesburg, Illinois; brothers, Larry Pearse and Gary Pearse; sisters, Sandy Grigg and Marilyn Carver; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathy Settle, Sharon Lindstrom, and Nancy Huddleston; and brother, Dennis Pearse.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis with Pastor Ryan Follis officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Stiehl-Dawson funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Nokomis or the American Diabetes Association.
