Monica C (Marley) McDonald

 Monica C. McDonald, 61, of Fillmore, IL, passed away Friday November 11, 2022 at 7:23 P.M. at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 4, 1961 in Pana, IL, a daughter of the late Bernard Lawrence & Dorothy (Berns) Marley.

She graduated from Nokomis High School with the class of 1979.

Monica married David Wayne McDonald on December 29, 1990 in Nokomis, IL and he preceded her in death February 22, 2020.

She was a life-long member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL. Monica enjoyed being the life of the party and always had a joke to share to make everyone laugh. She enjoyed cooking for others and being with her family. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children,

B. Jeremiah ( Laura) Marley of Ramsey, IL, Lydia McDonald of Pana, IL, Lucia (Shane) Slightom of Ramsey, IL, Lauren McDonald of Litchfield, IL, D. Jacob McDonald of Fillmore, IL

Grandchildren, Dominic, Colby, Weston, Otto, Charlotte, and  B. Oliver.

Siblings, Anne Marty, Dennis Marley, David Marley, Rebecca Miller, Paul Marley and Gerald Marley

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, B. Michael Marley & J. Thomas Marley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said, Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL. Fr. Michael Meinhart will preside. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 A.M. followed by visitation from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, David, at Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis, IL. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the family.
