Merva Jo (Lewey) Blazich

Merva Jo Blazich, 82 of Nokomis passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  The daughter of Merwyn and Josephine Houlihan Lewey, Merva was born June 2, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas.  She married Elbin "Beanie" Blazich June 24, 1967. He passed away January 25, 2011.

Merva is survived by a daughter Diantha (Kelly) Harston of Witt, 4 sons Paul (Julia) Blazich of Nokomis, Pari (Michelle) Blazich of Mobile, AL., Phil Blazich and Daniel Blazich both of Nokomis, 10 grandchildren , 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, a brother Tim Lewey of O'Fallon, and a sister Diantha Lewey of Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a infant brother Tommy.

She was a homemaker and active in church clubs CCW, Foresters and the Womens Club and Sportsman's Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday October 8, 2020 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to service time at 10:30 am in the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Louis School and St. Louis Church.
