Melissa Marie Meta Meier-Kanches

Melissa Marie Meta Meier-Kanches 49 of Montgomery, Illinois formerly of Nokomis, Illinois passed away July 4th 2019 at her home in Montgomery. 

Melissa was born January 18, 1970 in Waukegan, IL. She is survived by her parents Dale H. and Jo D. Fagan Meier from Lake Havasu  City, Arizona, as well as her children Kimberleigh Marie Griffin of Shanghai, China, Jared Michael Griffin and Jericho Kanches both of Springfield, Illinois, her  sisters Jessica (Mike) Hutchings Monasmith of Lake Havasu City, AZ Jodi (Gilbert) Meier Merkel of Harvel, her nieces & nephews and Jenna & Dayne Merkel and Madisyn and Thomas Petrauskas. She was preceded in death by a sister Kimberly Kelly Swanson.

Melissa was a Nokomis High School graduate, had become an R.N. and was in the Illinois Nation Guard.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis.

Funeral services are planned for Wednesday July 10, 2019 at 11:00 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis, Illinois  with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Nokomis. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday morning.
