Mary (Punky) Larson Obituary
Ms. Mary (Punky) Catherine Larson of Nokomis passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
Punky was born and lived in the same home all her life. She was born October 15, 1938 to Carl A. Larson and Mary Sauerbier.
Punky earned her Nursing degree from St. John's School of Nursing in 1959 and her Master's Degree from Indiana Univeresity, Bloomington. She taught Nursing classes at The Decatur Vocational Center until her retirement in 1993.
Punky enjoyed spending time traveling with her mom and brother. She also enjoyed cooking, quilting and attending Mass at St. Louis Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Tom. Surviving is Sara Mullen, Nokomis and Dave (Lisa) White, Fillmore and many other cousins.
Services will be held Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Louis Catholic Church, with visitation from 10 to 11. Father Dan Willenborg and Father Florent Kanda will be officiating.
