Mary Ann (Brady) Adden

Mary Ann Adden, longtime resident of Nokomis, IL, passed away on June 1, 2024, in Springfield, IL at the age of 92.  She will be missed. 

She is survived by her children Michael, David and Laura Adden (Stacey Nevara), grandchildren Shane Adden, Jacob Adden, and Brady Adden Nevara, and great-grandchild Khalessi Adden 

Born in Fulton, KY and a graduate of Murray State University, she arrived in Nokomis in 1954 to teach typing and business classes.  She remained active as a substitute teacher for decades after marrying Gene Adden in 1956 and starting a family. 

She was active in Trinity Lutheran Church, the International Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and for several years managed the Nokomis office of State Representative Karen Hasara. 

She enjoyed bridge, Scrabble, bocci ball, and spirited conversations with her longtime and close friends.   

Services for Mrs. Adden will be held on June 9, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, IL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with services at 2 pm. 

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church of Nokomis or Montgomery County Cancer Association.
