Mary Alice (Bowers) Woolard

Mary Alice Woolard 81 of Nokomis passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at 7:03 A.M. in Memorial Hospital, Springfield, Illinois. 

Alice the daughter of John Frankie Bowers and Zella Irene Smith Bowers was born August 22, 1937 in Norris City, Illinois. She married Eugene May.  She then married James Woolard December 27, 2008 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis. He passed away July 9, 2017. She is survived by Gene May of Penscola Florida, 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, sisters Vera Dean Pease of Centralia, Brenda Sue Forbes and Edith May Dial both of St. Elmo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children Juanita Lynn, Della Marie, and Crystal Dean and siblings Marilyn, Mavis, Johnny, Jim, Jeanie and Debbie.

Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Nokomis, a past worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and had been employed as a tech at the Family Development Center.

Funeral services will be Tuesday June 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 at the church Tuesday. Burial vill be in Mound Cemetery, Pana, Illinois.
