Marion Dahler Obituary

Marion Carl Dahler, 84 of Nokomis, IL. passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL.

He was born on May 6, 1937 in Nokomis Township at the home farm. He is the son of Harvey and Alvera (Michelmen) Dahler.

Mr. Dahler served as a private in the Illinois National Guard.

Marion married the former Jeanene Chausse on April 15, 1961 at the Cathedral in Springfield and she survives.

Marion was a farmer all of his life until retirement in 2020.  He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis.  He was also a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau.

He is also survived by his son, Robert (Jeanne) Dahler of Nokomis

Marion had 3 special girls in his life.  He had his granddaughter Ashlyn from Charleston and his other granddaughter Gracie from Peoria, along with his Yorkie sidekick, Millie. He would do anything for his girls. He loved them dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melvin and Harley.

Visitation will be held at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis from 5-7 on Thursday Dec. 16, 2021. Please wear a mask.

Funeral mass will at 10:00 AM Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Please wear a mask.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Louis Church or St. Louis School
