M. Joann (Stillahn) Graden

M. Joann Graden 83 of Nokomis passed Thursday February 15, 2018 in Hillsboro Hospital at 12:11 p.m. Joann daughter of William and Edith McCallum Stillahn was born October 24, 1934 in Rountree Twp, Illinois. She married Richard "Dick" Graden June 8, 1952 in the Raymond Methodist Church. He passed June 14, 2006.  She is survived by sons Rick(Linda) Graden of Glenarm and Bob Graden of Decatur, IL., grandchildren Erica (Terry) Schwoeppe, T.J. (Shellie) Graden, Stacey(Jonathon) Smith, Sheila(Rich) Booher, and Chris Graden, great grandchildren Jacob, Avery,  Landon, Emet, Austin, Charlotte, Toby, A.J., Shavanna, Kasey , and a sister Janet( Gary) Goby of Albany, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son James "Jim" in 2000.

Joann was active in the United Methodist Church of Nokomis for many many years.  She enjoyed the Montgomery/Macoupin County Senior Achivers and was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau "Prime Timers", and the Audobon Township "Thrifty Club". She loved music and provided songs at several church services and sang at many weddings and funerals.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 22, 2018 in the United Methodist Church of Nokomis at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in Nokomis Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis from 5:00 to 7:00 p[.m..

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Assn. or the Nokomis/Witt Area Ambulance.
