Louise Florence (Nockman) Ruth

Louise Florence Ruth, 84, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:31 pm at her residence in Vandalia, IL. 

Louise was born on December 21, 1940, in White City, IL, the daughter of William and Florence Nockman.

Louise was a homemaker all her life, caring for her children. Her greatest joys were hearing from her family and especially visiting with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed working and visiting clients and staff at Fayco and always loved their Thanksgiving and Christmas parties.  She loved listening to music and Elvis was her very favorite.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Wayne) Griep of Sheboygan, Wi.; son, Thomas (Sean Furlow, companion ) Davis of Nokomis; sister, Connie Rowland of Litchfield; grandchildren, Nicole Richmond, Andrea Griep and Adam Griep, all of Litchfield, Benjamin Davis of Nokomis, Scott (Christina) Davis of Oden, IL, Tom Davis, Jr of Springfield and Shyanna Davis of Hillsboro; great grandchildren, Nicolai Richmond of Litchfield, Jaxon Bracket of Litchfield, Alexandria Davis and Rena Davis of Oden, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Nockman and her brother, Lester Nockman.

In memory of her life, a visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of her service at 1:00 pm at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis with Scott Davis officiating.   Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a private burial at a later date at Chapman Cemetery.
