Louise A. (Dodson) Brummet

Louise A. Brummet 96, of Nokomis, Illinois passed away Monday, October 28, at 6:51 am in Montgomery Rehab & Healthcare, Taylor Springs, IL.

Louise the daughter of Frank and Della Porter Dodson was born March 9, 1923 in Fayette County, Illinois.  She married Clyde Brummet June 6, 1946 in Hopewell Baptist Church. He passed away September 22, 2012. She is survived by children Larry (Deana) Brummet of St. Jacob, IL., Shirley (Donnie) Clontz of Washington, IL., Jerry (Cathy) Brummet of Ramsey, IL., Barbara Smith of Monticello, IL., 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother Fred (Amber) Dodson of Pana, IL., and her sister Evelyn Brummet of Mattoon, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her daughter Marilyn Leuschke in 2019, sisters Verna Hill and Margaret Lush and brothers Nova, James and Harvey Dodson.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with burial in Nokomis cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to service time Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Grace Baptist Church, Nokomis.
