Louisa M. Petray, 81, of Witt passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 8:20 AM.

Services for Louisa Petray will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10 AM at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Witt.  Burial will immediately follow services at Witt Cemetery, Witt, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to Montgomery County Cancer Association, 19 Circle Drive, Litchfield, IL  62056.  Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Louisa was born December 10, 1939 to Joseph and Louisa (Brown) James in Savannah, Georgia.  She graduated from Savannah, Georgia High School and was a member of the Garden City Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia and Grace Baptist Church in Nokomis.  She married Ernest Petray and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2004.

Mrs. Petray is survived by her children Eric (Amy Waddington) of Witt and Stacey Petray of Hillsboro; granddaughter Savannah Petray; sister Denise Quinlan Lanier of Twin City, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Petray was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Hill, Jr.
