LeRoy Parker, 83, of McLeansboro, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at his daughter’s home in St. Anne, Missouri.
Visitation for Mr. Parker will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, from 1-3 PM at Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McLeansboro with funeral services at 3 PM. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family.
Mr. Parker was born September 2, 1939, in McLeansboro, Illinois to Thomas Abraham and Ellen Elizabeth (Harrellson) Parker. He and Mary Drew were married October 11, 1958, and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2009. He was a machinist and was of the Southern Baptist Faith. LeRoy’s favorite pastime was woodworking with a scroll saw.
LeRoy is survived by his children, daughters, Tammy (David) Geiss of Ottawa, KS, Terri (Jeff) Bapst of St. Ann, MO and Connie (Eddie) Hebert of Osawatomie, KS; grandchildren; John Geiss, Jan (Brent) Schoenberger, Jeffrey (Aimee) Bapst, Jr., Elizabeth (Jonathan) Ingram, Theophilus, Jonathan, Luke and Philip Hebert; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Iona Kessler of Washington, IL, Arlene and brother, Robert Parker of McLeansboro, IL.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, great grandson Peter Parker Ingram and siblings, Betty, Carl, Leonard, James, Calvin, Charles, Dwight and Nadine.
