Lamar R. Yeske

Lemar R. Yeske 90, of Witt, Illinois passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:40 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, Illinois.

The son of Shirley and Viola Fesser Yeske, Lemar was born July 13, 1929 in Witt Township, Illinois.  He married Doris Tarren January 14, 1951 in Nokomis, IL. She survives as do daughters Susan (David) Tschopp of Owasso, OK, Brenda (Jerry) Degg of Henderson, KY, sons Larry (Debby) Yeske of Irving, Gary (Donna) Yeske of Witt, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren     He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson Christopher Degg.

Lemar was a member of the Witt United Methodist Church, had graduated from Witt Schools, was a member of the Irving Masonic Lodge and the Witt Fire Dept.  He served in the Korean Conflict with the Army Security Agency.  He had worked and retired from Caterpillar of Decatur.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, at10:30 a.m. at the Witt United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Witt Cemetey.  Military Rites by Waples-Bauer Post 94, Nokomis American Legion. Visitation will be in the church on Monday  from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m. by Irving Lodge #455.
