LaVonne L (Huber) Lehman

LaVonne L. Lehman, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 5:26 am at her residence with her family by her side.

LaVonne was born on March 12, 1934 the daughter of Walter and Veneta (Johnson) Huber. She married Ivan Cassidy in Nokomis in 1952. After their separation, she married Walter Lehman in 1980. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker for many years and after she and Walter married, she took to working the farm with him. She loved playing bingo and cards, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, but there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her grand kids.

She is survived by her children, Jane M. Heid, Janet L. Cassidy, James R. Cassidy, JoAnn Ragland; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Johnson of Springfield.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Wright.

Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10 am until 11 am at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. In celebration of her life, a funeral service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Randy West officiating.

Burial will follow at Nokomis Cemetery.
