LaVerne R. Bell Jr.

LaVerne R. Bell 51 of Nokomis passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 1:41 pm at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois. The son of LaVerne R. Bell Sr. and Linda Murkin Bell, he was born April, 21, 1968 in Springfield, Illinois. He married Kelli Shea Manuel, they divorced. He married Rena L. Perry on September 12, 1998 in Nokomis. She survives as do his father of Mechanicsburg, and children Cody Bell of Nokomis, Tyler Morse of Taylorville, and Cassie (Jeremy) West of Oakdale, Louisiana, grandchildren Eli Sepulvado, Corbon Morell, Kashton Morell, 1/2 sister Bobett (Danny) Noble, of Buffalo and 1/2 brother Rick (Linda) Bell of Cumberland Furnace,TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, and brother Michael Bell in 1994.

LaVerne was the present Pastor of the First Pentacostal Church of Nokomis.

Funeral services will be conducted at  the church he was pastor of, First Pentecostal Church of Nokomis at 11:00 am Thursday December 12. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday.
