Kenneth Lynn Darnell

Kenneth L. Darnell 71 of Pana, Illinois passed away Friday July 2, 2021 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.  The son of Harold Lester and Wilma (Bolte) Darnell he was born June 3, 1950 in Pana, IL. He married Sharon Johnson and they divorced. He married Linda LeDuc White and she passed away.  He is survived by a son Jesse (Jennifer) Darnell and grandson Caleb Darnell of Witt, brother Roger Darnell of Witt, sisters Linda (Alan) Kottwitz of Nokomis, Toni (Shannon) Durbin, Brenda (Lenny) Homa, Patty (Greg) Myers all of Witt

Kenny was a correctional officer at the Taylorville facility, loved farming with his farmer friends and a truck driver. He was a member of the NRA.  He had attended the Ohlman Methodist Church and was a Viet Nam U.S. Navy veteran.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Witt Cemetery with Military Honors by the Nokomis American Legion Post 94.
