John W Tossi

John W. Tossi, 79, of Nokomis, IL, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 5:10 p.m. at Pana Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pana, Illinois.

He was born on May 31, 1946, in Litchfield, Illinois, the son of John Walter and Helen (Gray) Tossi.. John proudly served his country as he was a sergeant in the Marines, served two years in Vietnam and recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Marksmanship Honors Badge 

John is survived by his children: John (Lisa) Tossi of Springfield, IL; Joanne Tossi of Grayslake, IL; Josh (Robyn) Tossi of McHenry, IL; grandchildren: Jaxyn and Justyn Tossi of McHenry, IL; sister: Pat (Carl) Meier of Hawaii; brother-in-law: Jack Tosetti of Nokomis; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Tosetti, and grandson Jonathan Tossi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Hall in Nokomis, IL from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on April 25th, 2026.
