John E. Sabol

John E. Sabol, 77, of Nokomis, IL, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at his residence.

He was born on June 21, 1940 in Nokomis, IL, a son of John Joseph & Anne (Gozniker) Sabol. His father passed away at a young age, and was reared by his mother and stepfather, Guido Pechnik.

John graduated from high school and what a machinist at Caterpillar. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL.

He married the former Tincie Irene Moorey on March 27, 1965 in the St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis. She survives.

He is also survived by his children, Dawn Sabol of Nokomis, IL, Nicole Sabol Wieland of Nokomis, IL & John J. (Erin) Sabol of Nokomis; grandchildren, Zach, Brayden, Carter, Jacob, Audrey & Alivia.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Pastor Bert Eickoff will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis.
