John G. Beeson

John G. Beeson, 72, of Witt passed away Friday, May 27th, 2022 at 11:05 AM with his family by his side.

Funeral Services for John Beeson will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Witt Christian Church with Pastor Bill Cox officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church.  Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore with full military honors.  Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family.

Mr. Beeson was born December 18, 1949 in Vandalia, Illinois to Doyle and Barbara (Patterson) Beeson.  He was a Nokomis High School graduate with the Class of 1968. and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy.  He and Sally (Standefer) were united in marriage on June 20, 1990 in Hillsboro, Illinois and she survives.  Mr Beeson was retired from Graham Correctional Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:  Amanda Joyce of Springfield, Matthew (Amber) Beeson of Glen Carbon and Amy (Josh) Tucker of Jacksonville; grandchildren:  Alexandria, Autumn, Joshua, Jack and Faye; siblings: Shirley (Jerrell) Whitten of Ramsey, Debbie Wygal of Hillsboro, Nate (Libby) Beeson of Greenup, Victor (Lori) Beeson of Camargo and Vince (Deb) Beeson of Tuscola.
