John Everett Bauerle

John Everett Bauerle, 70, of Witt passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his home.

Private services for Mr. Bauerle will be held at a later date.  Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in assisting the family.  Memorials are suggested to the Witt Lions Club and online condolences can be left at stiehldawsonfh.com.

John Everett Bauerle was born April 21, 1952 in Hillsboro, Illinois to Harold and Mary (Herpstreith) Bauerle.  He was a 1970 graduate of Witt High School.  He and Joyce Cole were married August 16, 1996 in Hillsboro, Illinois and she survives. He had worked at Echlin, GSI and Nokomis Gift and Garden Shop.

John’s greatest love was time spent watching his grandson’s sporting events.  He was an avid deer hunter, participated in Fantasy Baseball, enjoyed time shooting darts in leagues at the Witt Bar and was a member of the Witt Lions Club.  He truly enjoyed time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Shelton and brother-in-law, Kenneth Brooks.   He is survived by his daughter, Valerie (Brett) Bauerle-Wexstten of Nokomis; grandchildren, Carter Wexstten and Colin Wexstten of Nokomis; siblings, Barbara Brooks of Oconee, Janet (Steve) Pearce of Dayton, Ohio and Patsy (Frank) Beasley of Witt; sister-in-law, Debbie (Richard) Kent of Coffeen and brother-in-law,  Mike (Heidi) Cole of St. Elmo.
