Joanne Gehlbach, 83 of Nokomis passed away at her home Sunday September 13, 2020. Joanne the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Johnson Vandenbergh was born July 20, 1937 in Pana, IL. She married Elmer Gehlbach February 27, 1960. He passed away January 31, 2012. She is survived by sons Rex (Tammy) Gehlbach of Troy, IL, Max (Ricki) Gehlbach of Raymond, IL, daughter Sandy (Tom) Johnson of Springfield, IL, grandchildren Shane(Andrea), Chase deceased, Daniel, Joseph, Anthony, Mark, Erika, Micah, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Lee (Mimi) Vandenbergh of Nokomis, Marie (Paul) Sarsany of Witt. Linda (Rob) Graham of Dallas, TX and Mike (Cindy) Vandenbergh of Nokomis.
Joanne was a telephone operator and member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL.
Public graveside services will be held Friday September 18, 1:00 p.m. in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Nokomis, Illinois.
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Indian School, Chamberlain, South Dakota.
