Jeannette Johnson Obituary

Jeannette E. Johnson, 86 of Springfield formerly of Nokomis passed away Saturday in Taylorville Skilled Nursing Center, Taylorville, IL  The daughter of Carl H. and Eloise (Brockman) Weaver, Jeannette was born March 4, 1935 in Elmhurst, IL. She married Wilmer D. Johnson, Feb. 6, 1953 in Virginia. He passed away July 9, 1992.  She is survived by children Kathleen (Ken) Rhodes of Nokomis, Dan Johnson of Bloomington, IL and Carol (Larry) Lenzi of Springfield, IL, grandchildren Jody (Chris) Marty, Kristopher Rhodes, Kenneth C. Rhodes, Vince (Jamie) Lenzi, Bryan (Corey) Lenzi, great grandchildren Annika Rhodes, Kolby Rhodes, Wilmer Lenzi and Veronica Lenzi and a sister Judith Moeller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother Frank Weaver.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nokomis, LMWL, a member and past Regent of Peter Meyer Chapter, NSDAR, member of Christian County Historical and Genealogical Society.

Funeral service will be Wednesday October 13 at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with visitation from 10 to 11 am with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
