Harley L. Hicks, 90, of Mattoon, formerly of Nokomis, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 3:15 A.M. at Heritage Manor in Pana, IL.
A son of Oran & Bessie Edith (Rhodes) Hicks, Harley was born on September 10, 1927 in Bingham, Illinois.
Harley graduated from high school and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #456.
He married Cora J. Porter on April 9, 1945 in Bingham and she preceded him in death. He later married Annis M. Hicks in 1993 and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2015.
Harley is survived by his step children, Kastine Tuttle of IN, Jacquline Barnes of FL & Rhonda Lingo of TX; grandchildren, Eric (Carol) Satterlee of Pana, IL & Trevor (Melissa) Satterlee of Havel, IL; great-grandchildren, Amber Green, Christina Horsthemke, Cora Pavolka, Isaac Satterlee, Leah Satterlee & Noah Satterlee; great-great grandchildren, Hailey Durham, Xton Green, & Lincoln Horsthemke; sister, Bettey Kestor of Georgetown, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, daughter, Sharon Satterlee on January 29, 2017, step daughter Brenda Miller, brother Cyrus Hicks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, IL. Pastor Ryan Follis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be exemplified. Burial will be in the Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.
