Gary D. Lamb Sr. 75 of Nokomis formerly of Witt passed away at his sons home in Nokomis at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
Gary the son of Eugene and Pauline (Landreth) Lamb was born April 21, 1944 in Litchfield, Illinois. He married Maud E. Kennedy January 15, 1976 and she passed away November 15, 2004. He is survived by sons Gary "Skicat"Lamb Jr. of Nokomis, IL and Dennis Kennedy of Irving, IL., grandchildren Sydney and Presley Lamb of Nokomis, sisters Janet (Ted) Campbell of Taylorville, IL., Mary Lou Sportsman of Fenton, MO. and brother Ken Lamb of Colorado Springs, CO.and niece Debbie Mann of West Point, IL. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Maud, son Mike Kennedy and sisters Judy Carroll, Phyllis White and nieces Pam Weiss. Gary was a high school graduate, a veteran of the U.S, Army serving during theViet Nam War with the 173 Airborne division. He was a member of the Moose, Witt Lions Club and had worked as a coal miner in Coffeen and Sesser.
Funeral services will be held Sunday February 16, 2020 with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 pm both in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home-Nokomis with burial in Witt Cemetery with military rites by Waples-Bauer Post 94, Nokomis American Legion.
