Gary T. Compton

Gary T. (Gomer) Compton 74, of Nokomis passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Nokomis Rehab. & Healthcare.

The son of Elvert Earl and Lola Darlene (Hawkins) Compton he was born May 15, 1945 in Hillsboro, Illinois. Gary is survived by sons Len Charles (Tina) Compton of Springfield, IL. and Thomas Allen (Mary) Compton of Taylorville, IL.

Gary was a retired tirebuilder at Firestone. He was a very proud U.S. Marine serving during the Viet Nam War.

Funeral services will be Thursday February 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis, with visitation from 10 to 11 Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, Illinois
