Frederick W Guffy

Frederick W. "Fred" Guffy, Jr. age 80, of Nokomis, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana, IL with his wife, Mary Kay by his side.

Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family.  Services for Mr. Guffy will be held at Christy-Smith Funeral Home (Morning Side Chapel in Sioux City, Iowa; 1801 Morning Side Ave., Sioux City Ia.).  Graveside services for Mr. Guffy will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11 AM at Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.

Mr. Guffy was born December 28, 1942 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Frederick and Ethel (Marsh) and they preceded him in death.  After High School graduation he went to work as coal miner.  He had a passion for motorcycles and rode all over the United States with his wife, Mary Kay.  Bird and duck hunting were another of his favorite pastimes along with fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife Mary Kay, mother-in-law Mary K. Watson of Nokomis; sons Troy W. (Angela) Guffy of Tucson, Arizona and Todd C. Guffy of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; stepsons John K. (Autumn) Lamb of Billings, Montana and Scott (Kim) Lamb of Sheridan, Wyoming; grandchildren Averi Guffy, Zane Guffy, step-grandchildren Karsyn Lamb, Hadyn Lamb, Gunnar Lamb, Ashley Jo Lamb, Zach Lamb and Mackenzie Kay Lamb.
