Dorothy A. Redeker, 85, of Nokomis died at 1:25 a.m., Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center, Taylor Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nokomis with Pastor Chris Prumm officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born on June 21, 1937 in Nokomis, the daughter of Lester and Mildred (Weber) Fricke. She married Loyd W. Redeker on February 2, 1957 in Nokomis, he survives.
Also surviving are three children, Don of Nokomis, Dallas of Chester and Tracy (Jeff) Baine of Urbana; grandchildren, Feryl (Ryan) York of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Daniele Brookshire and Matthew Brookshire of Urbana, Austin (Michelle) Redeker of Roscoe, Tyler Redeker of Chester, Breanna Baine of Rantoul, Tiffany Baine of Mahomet, Emily (Nick) Harmon of Fisher and Shelby Baine of Champaign; great grandchildren, Joey, Lenny and Scarlett; two sisters, Darlene McCallum of Nokomis and Lenore (Dave) Ruppert of Nokomis and sister-in-law, Betty Redeker of Iowa City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Rhonda Redeker and brothers-in-law Ernie and Red Redeker and Jerry McCallum.
Dorothy was a farm wife and worked as a CNA for Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis for 30 plus years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nokomis . She was a secretary for Aid Association for Lutherans for many years.
Dorothy enjoyed sewing, working with the church and volunteering at Golden Manor Nursing Home.
