Doris V. (Brookshire) Miller

Doris V. Miller of Fillmore passed away Sunday mornng at 2:13 am in her home surrounded by her family.

Doris the daughter of Robert and Laura (Finn) Brookshire was born May 24, 1928 in Witt, Illinois.  She is survived by children Ronald and wife Linda Miller of Nokomis, Linda and husband Larry Swinney of Fillmore, Wanda and husband Ken Suslee of Nokomis, Richard and wife Becky Miller of Virden, Martha and husband Ron Morrell of Decatur, Robert Miller of Fillmore, Rhonda and husband Brent Presnell of Wenonah, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother Charles Brookshire of Springfield and sister Donna Smith of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert Brookshire Jr,and Harold Brookshire and sisters Dorothy Miller, Elsie Dangbar, Betty Mindrup and a sister in infancy.

She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Christian Church of Witt.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 in the Christian Church of Witt. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Friday in the church.  Burial will be in Witt Cemetery. Memorials aresuggested to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
