Donna Lee (Hagemeier) Janssen

Donna Lee Janssen, 89, of Nokomis passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care. 

Services for Mrs. Janssen will be Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis with Pastor Justin Massey officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Donna was born April 25, 1933 in rural Morrisonville to Oscar and Matilda (Bruns) Hagemeier.  She graduated from Nokomis High School with the Class of 1951.  After high school she was employed as a telephone operator and later worked as a secretary at Nokomis North School for 26 years.  She and Orlan Janssen were married April 25, 1954 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Nokomis and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2017. Donna was a member of the Trinity Fellowship Club, a die-hard Cardinals fan and loved her gatherings at the Depot for coffee with her family and life time friends.

Mrs. Janssen is survived by her children, Kent (Becky) Janssen of Colfax, IL, Janelle (Scott) Janssen of Aiken, SC and Brad (Maggie) Janssen of Nokomis; grandchildren, Lauren (Adam) Wyant, Alyssa (Max) Seisser, Brooks Flickinger, Abby Flickinger, Nick (Erin) Jones, Tyler Janssen, Ryan Janssen, Kourtney Janssen, Katie Janssen, Sydney Lamb and Presley Lamb; great grandchildren, Dalton Jones, Case Jones, Asa Jones, Brett Wyant, Maya Wyant and Sloane Wyant; brothers Dwain (Betty) Hagemeier and Carroll (Dorothy) Hagemeier both of Nokomis.
