Donald Lee "Bud" Warnsing 78 of Nokomis passed away Thursday November 14, 2019 at 8:45 am in Nokomis Rehab & Healthcare.

"Bud" the son of Helen Bower Warnsing and Wayne Warnsing was born November 16, 1940. He married Rose Ambler, they divorced. He married Peggy Shults July 25, 1998 in Putuxent River, Maryland. She survives as does son Donald Lee Jr. of Dubois, PA., grandchildren James (Erin) Warnsing, Mandy Wright, Kenny Warnsing, Mindy (Craig) Beary, Meghyn Chandler-Warnsing, 5 great grandchildren and a sister Helen Ann Locklear of Burlington, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son James "Jim" Warnsing and a brother Carl Martin Warnsing.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 19 at 10:30 am in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with burial  in Mt. Zion Cemetery, rural Nokomis.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Mr. Warnsing had many associations and intrests- American Legion Post 94, Nokomis, Illinois, Fleet Reserve Association (USN, USMC, USCG) Branch 93, Florida Naval Sailors Assn, American Legion, Post 79, New Port Richey, FL.Corvair Society of America, Lamont, IL.the Antique Automobile Club of America, Jen's Cruiz-In, North/South Skirmish Assn. preserving America's heritage.  He enjoyed wood working, bowling, golf, card games, antique cars (Mustangs & Corvairs).

He was a 3rd generation Santa Claus.  He graduated from Nashville, Illinois high school in 1958 and had attended Raymond high school.
