Donald E. Oller

Donald “Don” Eugene Oller, age 68 of Witt, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Heritage Manor in Pana at 10:20am.

He was the son of James “Jim” Leonard and Thelma “Evelyn” Chambers-Oller. He was born on August 25^th, 1951 in Decatur. He married Donna Ealey, the mother of their 3 children, later divorcing.

He is survived by a daughter, Becky Emerson of Harvel and a son Doug Oller of Shelbyville, grandchildren Lexi Emerson, Callie (Logan) Redmon, Allison Emerson, Laura Oller, and Andrew Oller, siblings Mick (Nancy) Oller of Kincaid, Pam White of Tory, Tennessee, Bob (Vickie) Oller of Ramsey, Joe (Theresa) Oller of Taylorville, Tim Oller of Witt, Joan Oller of Fillmore, Paul Oller of Greenville, South Carolina, Carol Strain and Dorene Robbins both of Litchfield.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jim and Evelyn, daughter, Kristina “Kristy” Bandy, and ex-wife, Donna.  

He is a U.S. Marine veteran who served in the years of 1969 to 1977. While in active service, he worked on Military vehicles as a mechanic in the motor pool. After being honorably discharged, he started his career as a truck driver, retiring after 37 years. He really enjoyed spending time with his family.
