Donald Wayne Brownback

Donald "Donnie" Brownback, 68 of Nokomis passed away Wednesday, May 19, at 7:35 am in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.  The son of Harold Wayne and Emma Rose (Kraus) Brownback was born May 23, 1952 in Pana. He married Carol Ann Henry, November 17, 1973 in Assumption, Illinois. She survives as do children Michelle "Shelly" (Shad) Hill and Eric (Bonnie) Brownback both of Nokomis, grandchildren Hayden Brownback, Emma Rose Hill, Harli Jean Hill, Natalie, Dayne and Tinley Brownback, sister Karen (Kenny) Ohl of Assumption, brothers John"Butch"Brownback of Chatham, Mike Brownback of Pana and Steven Brownback of Assumption, sister-in-laws Robin Brownback of Assumption and Judy Brownback of Neoga. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers David, Jim and Jerry Brownback. Donnie was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA and a diehard Cubs Fan.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 am Saturday with visitation from 9 to 11 both at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis. Burial in Bethany Cemetery Moweaqua.
