Dennis Albert Holland

Dennis Albert Holland, 77, of Witt passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Dennis was born June 14,1946 in Des Moines, Iowa to Verl and Elizabeth (Bowman) Holland.  After high school, he went to serve his country in Vietnam on the USS Ranger CVA61.  He and Debbie Nation married on December 2, 2002, and she survives.  Mr. Holland went on to be an auto paint sales representative with Sherwin Williams Paint for over 20 years, earning many sales awards. He was a very political, confident, practical man who loved fishing and riding his motorcycles.  He loved country and western music and often played his guitar for his grandchildren, encouraging them to learn. 

In addition to his wife, Debbie, Mr. Holland is survived by children, Tonia Holland of California, Dustin (Danielle) Herpstreith of Nokomis and Nicole (Neil) Shepherd of Mt. Olive, grandchildren, Haylie, Michael, Kaden, Nolan, Lane, Alydia and Parker and great granddaughter, Brooklynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Kenneth Holland.

Per Dennis’ request cremation rights will be accorded and no services are planned.

Memorials are suggested to The Illinois Rifle Association.
