Dale E. Keiser, 78, of Witt passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
Dale was born February 4, 1945, in Hillsboro. He graduated from Nokomis High School and went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, Dale worked on a farm in Delphos, KS, the Martin Elevator in Witt, and the Nokomis Township where he served as Highway Commissioner for several more years. Dale was also a lifelong farmer, and he especially enjoyed checking fields on his side by side in his later years.
Dale married Diana Wilson on July 16, 1966, in Salina, KS, and they enjoyed over 57 years of marriage. Dale was raised in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis, and he and Diana are currently members of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Minnie Hanje; uncles, Fred, Harry, and John Hanje, Jr.; and aunt, Doris Guhrt.
Dale is survived by his wife, Diana Keiser of Witt; children, Cathy (Randy) Garrett of Rochester, and Donald (Shannon) Keiser of Witt; grandchildren, Ben Garrett, Brian Garrett, Emily (Aaron) Fox, Douglas (Haley) Keiser, Tyler Wesley, Joey (fiancée, Harley Page) Keiser, and Olivia Keiser; great grandchildren, Millie Fox, Annie Fox, Natalie Fox, and Dayton Keiser.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10:30-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Nokomis. A graveside ceremony with military honors will follow the visitation at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Christen Prumm officiating.
